SPA OF SOUTH INDIA
- Courtallam on the Western Ghats is known for its waterfalls. Courtallam has earned the title “Spa of South India”. Courtallam’s waterfalls have therapeutic medicinal values as they pass through forests and herbs. Not one or two, but nine waterfalls would enthral you, if you were to step into Courtallam. Peak season is between July to September.
A MEMORABLE TRAIN TRIP
FROM TAMIL NADU TO KERALA
(2 hours and 30 minutes)
- A train journey from Sengottai, TN to Punalur, Kerala from one state to the other, across paddy fields, rubber plantations, forest, never-ending hills, and a heritage 13-arch bridge. The Punalur -Sengottai route was once a heritage railway line. There are five tunnels in total and more than 200 bridges. A memorable trip to remember. You can take the Sengottai - Kollam Passenger (11:40am) for this scenic trip.

TREKKING AND BOATING AT THENMALA
(1 hour)
- Thenmala translates to 'Honey Hill' lies on the highway between Kollam, Kerala – Sengottai, Tamil Nadu. Its terrain is dotted by forests, rubber and tree plantations and was selected by the World Tourism Organisation as one of the premier eco-friendly projects in the world.
- For nature tourists who prefer to explore the nature trails through forests, this zone would be paradise. There is scope for tours and trips taking you close to the unspoiled charms of nature. Soft trekking - Guided trekking through the outskirts of Shenduruney Wildlife Sanctuary, Deer Rehabilitation Centre, Boat Ride - To explore the greenery of Shenduruney Wildlife Sanctuary and one hour boat services available at one-hour interval.
- Timing: 09.00 am to 04.00 pm - Sanctuary Trekking and Sanctuary Hiking.
